    2)  "Siegmann" head for square 62 of the above named large square.
  3)  Economical fuel oil and provisions consumption. Beware of carrier aircraft.
     
2. Radio Message 1325/28/369 Currently in area naval square CG 20, BF 74 to 70 intense operation by U-boat hunting vessels.  "Piening Route" apparently recognized. Hunting groups drive in very broad line abreast.  Boats already on the "Piening" route are to be especially careful and proceed as close to the coast as possible. 8. Radio Message 2104/18/172 1)  On 19 July at 08.00 hours "Kuppisch", "Schroeteler", "Deetz", "Hornkohl", "Siegmann" switch to America II Circuit, "Schamong" switch to America I.
     
9. ßß  0450/1/262 Have completed contamination of "Norfolk".  Still have 51 cbm fuel oil.

    2)  If fuel inventory 39 cbm "Siegmann" begin return transit.  Due to high fuel consumption.
     
12. Radio Message 1259/4/209 1.)  Until further notice no further supply is possible, all boats now in the operations area must start on their return passage so that they can reach port without refueling or taking over provisions. 
    2.)  Boats which are already short are to return immediately.  Supply will be available for them.

    3.)  Missing from 26 July 289, from 29 July 222 to 43, except for 235 and 39, from 4 August 212 and 17.

    Continue return transit with easterly course.  Objective point for supply follows, as soon as forseen.  taking over reserve breechblock not possible.  Attempt repair later with tanker.

16. Radio Message 1134/13/361 In recent days several attack reports on U-boats were intercepted by B-Deinst in naval squares CB and DC.  It is accepted that even in this area aircraft carriers are permanently stationed.  Caution during transit.
     
17. Radio Message 2310/13/369 The suspicion that the enemy makes use of Metox radiation is further confirmed. Use of Metox and Grandin receivers is now forbidden in all sea areas, as it is thought that enemy makes use of the receiver radiation to approach the U-boat from a great distance without himself using location gear.
     
18. Radio Message 1222/14/376 Strained fuel situation due to failure of the suppliers requires use of "Drewitz"and "Harpe" as a tankers. They supply:
    1.)  "Siegmann", "Feiler" and "Neide" from "Drewitz" in naval square 5935 of the large square west of disguised square SS.
    2.)  . . . . . . . .
    3.)  Boats remain in the vicinity of the meeting point.  Supply for economical return and provision consumption on return transit.
    4.)  Radio silence, in the area expect carrier aircraft, therefore man machine guns continuously.  More to follow.
     
19. Radio Message 2223/14/385 1)  Radio silence, no bearing signals.  If at the same time several boats are at the tanker, organize common lookout and anti-aircraft fire.
    2)  Following supply all boats report fuel inventory by Short Signal.
    3)  However, if by 18 August, all boats are not met and the supply of the boats there is completed, tankers report in the radio message fuel inventory and name of the boats which have not arrived.

21. Radio Message 1734/16/316 Prohibition of the use of Metox as well as Grandin is emphatically underscored again. To prevent improper use on all boats immediately remove the 2 fastening screws on the front of the receiver housing. Remove the entire high frequency part (receiver centerpiece with tuning buttons) and place under lock by the Kommandant.  Completion of this measure is to be recorded in the Kriegstagebuch.

    2.)  From 23 August supply from "Kuppisch" for economical return transit at new meeting point naval square 8635 of the large square west of PX:  "Dahlhaus", "Siegmann", "Feiler", "Neide".  Provisions transfer only to the extent necessary.  No bearing signals.  After completion Kuppisch wait to the last supplied boat to report in accordance with Kriegsmarine Order 180 paragraph 22.
