Incoming:  20.12 hours 1.)  After completion of the last ordered supply "Metz" proceed to naval square 9595 of the large square west of AX and there give 35 cbm and one week's provisions each to "Förster" and "Thäter".  After completion Metz leave and wait for "Stahl" in ZN 77.  More follows.

Incoming:  22.34 hours As attack area "T h ä t e r" occupy sea area between EO 62, 65 69 and EP 69 and 63.  U-662 area from EP 71 and 78 to 93 and 99.  For "Eick", "Krüger" and "Feiler" current operations areas are valid.  In the above mentioned areas there is single and convoy traffic, see situation observations.  All naval squares.

  2.)  24 July 20.33 hours EP 4323 attack by "Liberator".  Repelled.  1 engine and tail shot on fire.  4 well placed bombs at the stern.  First Watch Officer, 1 soldier heavily wounded, Kommandant, Second Watch Officer, Obstrm. lightly wounded.  Fast return transit.
  3.)  Air like "Biscay".  Detection day and night on 130-160 cm - continuous - No sea traffic.
  4.)  Junkers compressor, round dipole antenna out of service
  continued from 0915 - Request for compressor:  power unit exhaust gas side, toothed rack 2 with connector, forward gear shaft with cog, bearing guide and pins.
  5.)  Missing Serial No's. from 23 July 382 - 93 and 314, 85 cbm.  Position EG 4429.  All naval squares."
