The Radio Traffic from Ship 16 and Ship 33 with the Homeland at the

Handover and Commissioning of the Prize "STORSTAD"

==================================================================

        The handover of the prize "STORSTAD" to Ship 16, its transport and release to the homeland required the sending of a radio message from Ship 33 and several short signals from Ship 16.  Due to the frequent failure of Ship 16 to sign its course signals, Skl. has the impression that Ship 33 is also involved in the transmission of Short Signals, which increases the confusion caused by the large number of signals transmitted.  The following radio messages are reproduced in chronological order with the correct originator:
        On 30 November Ship 33 reported to Skl. the intention to release the tanker "STORSTAD" as prize to the homeland:

30 November 2135/30 Ship 33: To Skl.:  Intention before departure to send Bouvet home "STORSTAD" 9 kn, good HF transmitter, 400 prisoners, 10000 tons Borneo-diesel-oil Gamma = 0.91.
      Meeting point requested to take advantage of Atlantic warfare. Only a limited supply of provisions is allowed. 79,000 without mines.
1 December 0622/1 Skl: Confirmed contents of the Radio Message from 33.
1 December 2111/1 Skl: Message from Ship 16 to send tanker to rendezvous point "Tulpe" and order:  33 report release of prize to meeting point by Short Signal.

12 December 1438/12 Skl: 1)  From the Short Signals given by the ships Bruno and Emil on 8-11 December, Skl gathers: "STORSTAD" is equipped for 8 weeks, on December 9th after replenishment the ship Bruno will be released home and will probably arrive in western France on 26 January.
  1457/12
      2)  If Skl.'s opinion is correct, Bruno will confirm a group jjj with a Short Signal.
      3)  Skl. takes control of "STORSTAD".  Intends to lead it via the rendezvous point. This will give ships in the South Atlantic the opportunity to exploit the tanker.
