      1.)  Heavy enemy traffic from the sea area between "St. Catherine's Point" and "Owers Lightship" to the S and SSE.
      2.)  Attack this traffic.  Latitude 50°10'N may not be crossed to the south, because own destroyers operate here.
      3.)  Enemy traffic observed in the operations area, indicating mine free areas for attack.
       
8.) 12.41 hours 1158/9/816 Own destroyer missing about BF 2837.  Boats within 20 nm of the vicinity go to the assistance as quickly as possible.  At the moment because of weather there is probably no enemy air.  Anticipate B.S.W. [Befehlshaber der Sicherung West]- Armed Forces.

      2.)  Operations are in accordance with Serial No. 811 extended to the south of the latitude of "Barfleur".  Expect only own S-boats here.
      3.)  Focal point for "Bork", "Bremen", "Hartmann", "Sieder" is BF 3610.  Also attack observed enemy traffic to the south of the latitude of "Barfleur".
      4.)  For the rest of the "Snorkelers" focal point to the north.

    Messages requested in Serial No. 838 are of decisive importance for new decisions of Control.  Delivery of the message is more important than an attack

      Also send situation report by short signal, if opportunity arises to do so.
       
17.) 04.28 hours 0109/22/846 1.)  For "Uhl", "Bork", "Sieder", "Dobberstein", "Dabkleff" previous orders concerning attack spaces are cancelled.  Boats occupy area to the north of "Cotentin" without taking own mined areas into consideration. "Cherbourg" is by the enemy a beleaguered fortress.  Expect bombardment "Cherbourg" by heavy units from approximately 20000 meters.  Detect and attack these units.  Supporting fortress "Cherbourg" at the moment is a particularly important task for U-boat force.
      2.)  For "Hartmann", "Stuckmann", "Bremen" the initial report remains the most important task in accordance with Serial No. 842.
      3.)  As previously mentioned.  If at all possible report situation.  If necessary by short signal.  Reports are of the highest importance for the attempt of other boats.
