This sequence of photograps was taken on 28 August, the day after U-570 was attacked and surrendered to a Hudson of 269 Squadron.

The destroyers HMS Burwell and HMCS Niagra and the ASW trawlers HMT Wastwate, Windermere, Kingston Agathe, and Northern Chief participated in removing the German Crew of U-570 and towing the vessel to Iceland.
